  • Part-time (0.4FTE), fixed term contract until March 2024
  • Salary range: $67,739 - $76,139 pro rata per annum (plus superannuation)


About the Role  

The Career Development Officer: Career Services will provide high level project, administrative and systems support to the Manager: Career Services, and the Career Services team to enhance the employability and career development prospects of UniSA students.

About the Student Engagement Unit  

The Student Engagement Unit (SEU) is responsible for the strategic development and delivery of student facing services that will enhance the on-campus and off-campus student experience for all students. The SEU also takes strategic steps to inform the quality of the student experience of learning and teaching, support services, the learning environment, and student facilities.  

SEU services include Orientation, UniSA Sport, Career Services, Student Life, Student Wellbeing, Student Counselling, International Student Support, Learning Advice, Wirringka Student Services, and Access & Inclusion Services.   

Core Responsibilities  

  • Provide high level project and administrative support for a range of career development learning projects and initiatives 
  • Establish and maintain office systems and processes for the Career Service to deliver quality services to staff, students and employers 
  • Ensure detailed and accurate records are maintained for all career development learning projects and initiatives 
  • Support the delivery of the annual UniSA Careers Expo and other relevant on/off campus Careers events 
  • Conduct evaluations, collate data and undertake basic analysis to support continuous improvement of the Career Service 
  • Monitor and administer Career Services’ online platforms, resources and presence 

Essential Skills and Experience  
  • Diploma level qualification in administration or a related field plus relevant work-related experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and education/training.  
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and customer service skills  
  • Highly organised with the ability to achieve deadlines and carry out tasks through to completion 
  • Demonstrated written skills including the ability to contribute to the development of communication, promotional and information-based marketing materials 
  • Demonstrated ability to generate data reporting, including data mining and validation, collation, manipulation, interpretation and analysis
