We are looking for a dynamic individual to join us and take the lead on developing and delivering career development services to Swinburne students

About the Job
Joining our team as a Career Consultant, you will be responsible for the development, coordination and delivery of career development services across the university. Reporting to Team Leader, Career Services, this position is responsible for the delivery of face-to-face and digital career services targeting the career readiness of students. You will provide up-to-date career development and employability support through partnerships with Schools and other business units in the University. This is an exciting time to join the team as we innovate and scale our delivery of career development for students and graduates.

The role sits within our Employabilty Unit which is our university’s hub for work integrated learning, career development and student-industry connections. We work across the university to foster employability through capacity building and partnerships with staff and industry, as well as offering student-facing course-based and co-curricular programs. Our employability programs support students with employability and career development learning throughout their time at Swinburne and beyond.

About you
To be successful in the role, you will have:
• A degree with subsequent relevant experience; or extensive experience and specialist expertise or broad knowledge in career development or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training
• Membership of a CICA member association at professional or associate level
• Demonstrated ability to initiate and manage career development activities in a variety of modes which respond to a diverse range of student and client needs.
• Demonstrated ability to initiate, manage and develop relationships with schools and academic partners to deliver in curriculum career development learning.
