An exciting opportunity has opened on the Cairns campus for a Campus Administration Assistant to join the Campus Operations team. Whether you are looking to take the next step in your administrative career or to secure continuing employment with a truly great University, this position is ideal.

 

In this role, you will be the first point of contact for the campus and provide exceptional administrative and client support. You will undertake a range of general administrative support processes, coordinate the processing of basic financial activities, and assist with the organisation of small functions, workshops, conferences.

 

We are seeking an experienced, team focussed administrator who strongly embodies the University’s values and believes in its mission to proudly deliver exceptional service to our campus staff, students, and various stakeholders.


Position Requirements

 

  • Proficient in the operation of computers including detailed knowledge of business support software including word, spreadsheeting, database systems and email.
  • Proven experience in a high level of professional customer service to clients.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage time, meet deadlines and resolve problems with minimal guidance and supervision.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate in a team environment including contributing to achieving outcomes and resolving problems.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate and liaise with people at all levels and from various background, including dealing with difficult people.
  • You will be expected to hold vaccinations in relation to the COVID-19 immunisation should your CQUniversity role require you to attend any setting / venue / event where there is a specific entry requirement for you to hold these vaccinations, as per relevant State Government directives.
