CQUniversity’s Facilities Management Directorate (DFM) team is responsible for matching the planning and management of the University estate – including buildings and assets – with CQUniversity’s strategic vision. As a Business Support Assistant, you will be an essential part of DFM, ensuring the seamless execution of financial and administrative tasks that keep our operations running smoothly. 

 

In this role you will be responsible for undertaking financial and administrative duties within allocated timeframes. You will assist with budget preparations and reviews, ensure accurate financial record-keeping, and provide administrative support to the Executive Support Officer and wider DFM team. To excel in this role, you will possess an understanding of financial management and accounting, coupled with adept administration skills.

 

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-orientated individual to join us in providing essential financial and administration support services.

Position Requirements

 

  • Understanding of financial management and accounting concepts and processes and an ability to acquire knowledge of CQUniversity’s financial policies and processes. 
  • Demonstrated analytical ability and proven ability to develop refined and accurate documents including reports, memorandums, letters and email correspondence. 
  • Proven ability to organise work, meet deadlines and resolve problems with minimal supervision. 
  • Proficient in the operation of computers including detailed knowledge of business support software including word, spread-sheeting, database systems and e-mail and experience in the use of a large corporate finance system.
