Overview

The School of Science at Edith Cowan University (ECU) offer undergraduate, postgraduate and research degrees in a wide range of disciplines.  Academics in the School are involved in research and teaching relating to - biology, bioinformatics, cyber security, computer science, counter terrorism security, physics, information technology, environmental science and management, chemistry, mathematics, data science, horticulture, with a focus on the continued growth of the disciplines.

This Senior School Officer role is primarily responsible for but not restricted to administratively supporting the four School Research Centres (Centre for Marine, Ecosystems Research, Conservation and Biodiversity Research Centre, Centre for Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning and Centre for Securing Digital Futures). The administration will include events, assisting with travel arrangements, purchasing and credit card reconciliation, arranging and providing the executive support in meetings, research activity support, marketing media coordination, associated WHS governance and general office support. 

Selection Criteria 

  • Demonstrated high level of administrative skills with attention to detail, accurately maintaining administrative systems and procedures 
  • Demonstrated high level organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise numerous tasks with minimal supervision to meet deadlines and ensure targeted outcomes
  • Interpersonal skills with proven ability to develop good relationships and ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Benefits & Remuneration

This full-time position attract remuneration of $75,821 – $84,254 PA pro rata, plus 17% superannuation.
