The Enterprise Information, Data and Analytics team forms part of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Services at UniSQ. ICT Services is focused on providing client-focused, sustainable, high-quality services and support to students and staff, no matter where they are located.

Who you are

You are an experienced Business Intelligence Analyst with a proven record of leveraging your technical expertise to enhance data-driven decision-making processes. Your innovative and analytical mindset combined with your exceptional attention to detail will ensure the reliability and integrity of our data management and business intelligence initiatives.

What you’ll do

As a Business Intelligence Analyst, you will be responsible for the provision of technical expertise in the analytics, design, development, maintenance, and technical support of the University’s data management and business intelligence platforms. You will also:

  • utilise contemporary business intelligence techniques and tools to support the extraction, transformation and loading of data into the enterprise data repository and provide technical support to data science technologies.
  • support the Manager (Business Intelligence and Analytics) to proactively collaborate with data stewards and system custodians to ensure the timely availability of quality data and analytics.
  • work closely with data and system custodians across the University to deliver meaningful and useful information that supports evidence-based decision making.
  • evaluate and improve source data quality, extract, clean and manipulate large data sets and manage the integrity and definition of key data assets held within the University’s business intelligence systems.
  • provide valuable support to the Data and Analytics team by contributing to the development, maintenance, support and promotion of the reporting platform and reinforcing stakeholder support activity.
  • support stakeholders to interpret the meaning and proper usage of data.

What will help you succeed

Together with your relevant degree, you will have:

  • experience in business intelligence, data management or data science.
  • an ability to deliver and apply high-quality business intelligence practices and principles for the effective management of UniSQ’s single source of truth data repository.
  • mastery with operating PowerBI including the ability to build interactive and visually appealing reports and dashboards, conduct data modelling and create custom visuals.
  • the ability to translate data analytics into powerful and meaningful content.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey complex concepts to diverse audiences.

Salary: Total remuneration range $112,314 to $124,193 pa (includes salary range of $94,900 to $104,937 pa, employer super contributions of 17% and annual leave loading)
