  • Full-time, fixed term contract until 31 December 2024 based in The Australian Centre for Business Growth at the City West campus
  • Commencement Salary: $90,234 per annum (plus 17% superannuation)


About the Role

We are seeking a marketing and communications expert to manage the business development activities and messaging for the Australian Centre for Business Growth. You will utilise your natural interpersonal skills, strong business acumen, and extensive experience in the field to both develop and execute the Centre’s marketing and communications strategy and ensure its effective delivery.

You will also be involved in managing the Centre’s public relations profile, leveraging all digital and social media channels, 3rd party sponsorships and partnerships to continue to build thought leadership credentials and lead volumes for the Centre. In addition, you will maintain and develop effective relationships with potential clients, academic and business leaders, government, sponsors and alumni.

Core Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement and execute the brand building, marketing and communications strategy for the Centre
  • Coordinate the business development activities of the Centre
  • Manage sponsorship arrangements and agreements, including business relationships
  • Oversee the development and delivery of new print and online program materials
  • Lead product development projects and manage other unique projects as they arise


Essential Skills and Experience

  • A degree in a relevant discipline and demonstrated understanding of contemporary marketing and communication principles
  • Extensive experience in business development, including generating new relationships and managing strategic partnerships
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing digital and social media marketing channels and campaign management platforms associated with these (e.g. Meta Business Suite). Thorough understanding of targeting and message management on Meta, LinkedIn and Google (incl Youtube) channels are essential
  • Strong experience in marketing and communications, including advertising, publicity and event management
  • Demonstrated track record in successfully leading, mentoring and managing staff across a range of levels
  • Demonstrated market research understanding, strong project management skills, and high-level analytical ability
  • Exceptional relationship building and interpersonal skills
