About the Role

As the Business Analyst: Continuous Improvement you will champion all aspects of best operational practice including business process reviews, implementation of continuous improvement initiatives, and streamlining of our People, Talent and Culture (PTC) service experience. Reporting to the Manager: People Data and Systems and working as a key member of the team, you will ensure that operational systems and processes are effective and aligned with systems across the University, making sure design methodology, approval processes, change controls, and documentation are standardised and consistently applied.

Core Responsibilities

  • Provide expert advice for the identification of business needs and the resolution of key issues and solution gaps
  • Develop and implement business improvement methodologies across new and existing processes (e.g. Lean Six/Sigma)
  • Undertake the development, delivery and evaluation of complex business analysis projects, functions, and services
  • Elicit, develop, and document PTC business process and supported applications
  • Establish strong working relationships with key stakeholders to work collaboratively, exchange information, and facilitate a service orientated approach


Essential Skills and Experience

  • Experience working with Human Resources information systems (HRIS) with a deep knowledge of the system development lifecycle, and human resources business systems, processes, and functions
  • Continuous improvement experience and ability to translate business requirements into functional solutions
  • Management of projects requiring the development of strong collaborative working relationships
  • Highly developed research and analytical skills and experience in managing data quality and integrity (personal and sensitive data)
  • Tertiary qualifications in information technology/information systems, or a related discipline with relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of experience and training
  • Highly developed interpersonal / communication skills and experience building relationships and demonstrating the highest level of customer service with a diverse range of people and cultures at various levels
