Your role

This position plays a crucial role in shaping and maintaining our brand identity across various touchpoints.

Key Accountabilities

  • Brand Architecture Design: Create and design RMIT Brand Extension logos, wordmarks, and brand marks that visually represent the essence and values of the brand. Ensure that these elements are versatile and can be used across various platforms and media.

  • Brand Guidelines: Maintain brand guidelines that outline the proper use of brand colors, typography, imagery, and other visual elements. Collaborate with design teams and stakeholders to ensure consistent application of brand guidelines across all internal and external design collateral.

  • Co-manage brand activity and assets using RMITs brand management platform (DAM).

  • Visual Communication: Translate internal marketing, events and communication objectives into on-brand visual designs. Craft visually engaging materials for print, including brochures, flyers, posters, and banners.

  • Digital Design: Create digital assets for use, including social media templates and digital display and email templates. Ensuring that these assets are in line with the brand's style and message.

  • Illustration, Iconography and Infographics: Develop brand illustrations and icons that align with the brand's aesthetic and can be used in various applications.

  • Photography and Image Editing: Curate or edit photos and images to maintain visual consistency and align with the brand's style.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with internal stakeholders, designers, copywriters, and others to ensure that the visual elements align with the overall brand strategy and message.

  • Market Research: Stay updated on design trends, competitor branding, and industry best practices to continuously improve and evolve the brand's visual identity.

  • File Management: Organize and maintain design files and assets using RMIT DAM for easy access and future reference.

  • Print Production: If required, liaise with print vendors to ensure that printed materials are produced accurately and to the highest quality standards.

  • Project Management: Coordinate with external vendors to govern design where necessary. Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project deadlines.

  • Feedback: Provide and receive constructive feedback to improve design quality and align with brand guidelines. Iterate on design concepts based on feedback from team members and stakeholders.

Key Selection Criteria

  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related field.

  • 3+ years of professional experience in brand design, preferably in a creative agency or in-house design team.

  • Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and other relevant tools. Strong Adobe Illustrator skills will be looked upon favourably.

  • Strong portfolio showcasing a diverse range of design projects, including brand identity, digital graphics, and print materials.

  • Solid understanding of marketing principles and design principles, typography, color theory, and layout composition.

  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.

  • Ability to balance creativity with a keen attention to detail and brand consistency.

  • Experience with brand management platforms is a plus.

  • Familiarity with industry trends and a passion for continuous learning and skill development.

  • Ability to work effectively in remote work settings.

  • Expected duration: 12 months (the first contract: to 30 Jun 2024)

  • Workload: 40 hours in 5 days a week

  • Highly competitive gross salary, starting from 22,948,000VND

  • Annual leave: 1 day per working month

English Proficiency

English is the language of teaching and communication at RMIT Vietnam. For this role, the minimum requirement is IELTS General 6.0 (or equivalent Linguaskill 160).
