Your new role
The Progression, Assessment and Awards team are seeking a deadline-driven Awards Advisor to join their dynamic and supportive team. As an Awards Advisor, you will facilitate and support the advisory of student enquiries relating to assessment, examinations, and conferral of awards. You will be at the forefront of our service delivery, working alongside the Assessment and Awards team, to provide exceptional customer service to our stakeholders. You will also have the opportunity to assist and support graduation and awards events where required.
In this role, you will:
- Manage complex student enquiries triaged though the Curtin Connect operating framework in a face to face, online and telephone environment.
- Work with key internal and external stakeholders to maintain an up-to-date knowledge of the University’s award degree issuances and the policies and procedures surrounding them.
- Build and maintain relationships with Course Coordinators and other key Faculty staff to identify students who should receive an Award with Distinction, Honour Levels, School prizes and Vice-Chancellor List recipients using and analysing reports from Student One.
- Communicate with students with regards to the Conferral of their award degree and provision of Awards to ensure alignment with customer and University expectations.
- Completion of degree; or completion of a diploma with considerable relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training
- Demonstrated experience in customer service delivery and a personal commitment to continually achieving a high level of client satisfaction.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well within a team environment
- Demonstrated organisational skills to manage own work activities and priorities to meet work area requirements and deadlines.
- Previous event management experience is highly desirable
- Ability to work outside of normal office hours when required to support graduation and award events (essential)
