About the opportunity

The University of Sydney has an exciting opportunity for an Automation Graduate with our award-winning Graduate Program. We are inviting bright and enthusiastic recent graduates and final-year students of University of Sydney to apply for the 2022 Graduate Program Automation Stream.

This specific graduate stream focuses on developing and deploying Robotic Process Automation solutions within our Automation & Innovation Hub (AI Hub). The AI Hub is an exciting, newly formed shared service, who delivers agile digital automation solutions University-wide. This is an instrumental learning and development opportunity where you will be involved in deploying Blue Prism automation and other software automation. This role is ideal for a graduate with a background in any of: programming, machine learning, business analytics, agile project delivery or other relevant Business/Engineering/ IT degrees.

Your journey as an Automation Graduate will begin with fully-funded training, the opportunity to gain industry recognised certifications, as well as mentoring and support throughout. Our award-winning Graduate Program provides a wealth of opportunity to gain transferable skills as well as becoming an expert within the business intelligence field.

About the Graduate Program

The University provides a structured three-year graduate program within our Financial Services unit. The program includes comprehensive on-the-job training, networking opportunities with University Executive and Senior Leaders and access to graduate programs aimed at accelerating your career.  During this program you will have access to mentors, senior leaders, external consultants, training opportunities, the chance to learn leading edge technology, and will enjoy a market competitive salary. You will also have the opportunity to participate in social programs that promote a ‘fun at work’ culture, and encourages teamwork.

About you

  • a passion for technology
  • recent graduate and/or final-year student at the University of Sydney studying relevant degree and major
  • maintained credit average minimum (please provide your transcript in your application)
  • high attention to detail and results-driven work ethic
  • exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • enthusiastic and collaborative approach with experience working in a fast-paced environment
  • strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • experience with general purpose programming languages including Python.
