  • Based in UniSA STEM at the Mawson Lakes campus Location
  • Full-time, continuing position
  • Commencement Salary: $159,241 (Level D)/$204,128 (Level E) per annum (plus 17% superannuation)

About the Role

As a leading expert with an outstanding international reputation in Library and Information Science, this position will make a distinguished contribution to the academic leadership of STEM’s teaching of undergraduate, Honors and postgraduate programs.

The Associate Professor/Professor will enhance the research profile of Information Management and STEM through the development of a program of high impact and collaborative research, supported by competitive research grant funding in the areas of library and information science, human information behaviour, public and academic libraries, cultural heritage institutions, and information management.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • A doctoral qualification in Library and Information Science or closely related field
  • Demonstrated record of the development and delivery of high quality teaching and learning experiences in a range of settings
  • Extensive knowledge of modern teaching approaches including the use of online learning methods
  • Evidence of an outstanding research track record with high-quality outcomes within strict time and cost constraints and consistent with leadership 
  • Success at creating and leading a high-performing and productive research team, including significant collaboration with international stakeholders and developing meaningful partnerships
