DETAILS OF THE POSITION:
- Full time (35 hours per week)
- Continuing position
- $162,111 - $207,336plus up to 17% Super and leave loading
The Associate Professor/Professor position is a full-time continuing position. An attractive salary package will be negotiated with the successful applicant. Teaching loads are competitive, and new faculty members are provided with a reduced teaching load in their first year.
This position is exempt under section 126 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977, to conduct targeted recruitment programs for women.
CRITERIA:
Applicants for Associate Professor/ Professor positions must have a PhD and established record of high-quality research with evidence of sustained scholarship and publications in top tier finance journals. Candidates are expected to mentor junior faculty members, contribute to the School’s research culture and provide evidence of effective teaching at both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels (with opportunities to teach in the MBA and executive education programs and PhD).

The School of Banking and Finance, UNSW Business School is a large and diverse school with over 40 full-time Faculty working across all areas of finance research. Our faculty have graduated from a broad array of globally ranked business schools including University of Chicago, NYU, UCLA, INSEAD, USC, University of Toronto, Swiss Finance Institute and the National University of Singapore.
The School has a strong research culture and a strong record of top tier finance scholarship. The School provides support for research through an extensive suite of databases and generous conference travel funding.
