Your new role

As a recognised leader in the field of Acute Nursing, you will develop, expand and shape the nursing research across Royal Perth Bentley Group and lead nationally competitive nursing research. To succeed it is expected that you will grow the culture of nursing research within Royal Perth Bentley Group and have the ability to implement a strategic research framework. Proven experience in leadership and mentoring of small teams will be vital for this role.

You will be required to;


  • Support the Director of Nursing and Midwifery in developing and overseeing the nursing research strategy within Royal Perth Bentley Group.
  • Build the research and enquiring mind in nursing at Royal Perth Bentley Group.
  • Mentor young researchers, supervise research students and their research projects.
  • Foster the development of aspiring nursing researchers.
  • Deliver continued research with an international reputation as an outstanding scholar.

You will bring to the role;


  • A doctoral qualification in relevant discipline.
  • Registered with AHPRA (or the equivalent Australian health professional regulatory authority).

You will require current work rights in Australia that match the tenure of this role.

  • An outstanding contribution to scholarship in research.
  • A record of leadership in Acute Nursing at either a state, national or international level.
  • Extensive experience and outstanding record of providing supervision to HDR students.
  • High level communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to foster the development of a collegial and supportive working environment and the ability to interact with students and staff with cross cultural sensitivity.
  • Demonstrated commitment to applying relevant and applicable policies, procedures and legislation in the day-to-day performance of the functions of this position.
