About the Role
In this leadership position, you will be focused on providing outstanding and energetic leadership in research, teaching and other professional activities within the Centre for Social Impact and the School. Working with other senior staff, the position will foster a culture of innovation and excellence and advance cross-disciplinary programs relevant to social impact in the School and more broadly the University.

You will be required to attract significant external research funding in a field relevant to one or more of:

  • Social entrepreneurship and social finance
  • Measuring and communicating social impact
  • Community services innovation
  • Outcomes-based funding and commissioning
  • Employment and employment service system reform for marginalised groups.


You will lead research teams in generating research income, undertaking research, and producing high quality knowledge translation products of value to both academic and industry/sector partners.

About You 
To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities: 

  • A strong record of initiating, obtaining and managing competitive external research income through competitive grants/income and/or industry collaboration 
  • Demonstrated links with relevant industries, organisations and research communities and demonstrated competence in working with relevant professions in industry and government
  • Demonstrated high interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to liaise with a wide variety of academics, work within a consultative, team environment, including an ability to work effectively with external members of the School, University and relevant professions in industry and government.
