In this role you will…..

  • Initiate and lead optimisation research projects with industry, government, and university partners
  • Seek and obtain research funding from various sources, including competitive grant programs, other industry and government funding channels, and professional consulting
  • Conduct high-quality scholarly research in optimisation and other areas of applied and computational mathematics
  • Work in partnership with industry and government to translate research findings into real-world impact and commercialisation opportunities

  • Advance Curtin University’s international research standing in applied mathematics and computational mathematics
  • Supervise and mentor research fellows, PhD students, and honours students within the Curtin Optimisation Group
  • Lead advocacy efforts for optimisation and mathematics within the university and the wider community
  • Provide research leadership and foster a strong research culture within the Curtin Optimisation Group and the wider Mathematics and Statistics discipline
Why choose Curtin?
