Your new role
This is an exciting opportunity for a mid-career academic at Associate Professor (Level D) to join the School of Management and Marketing as part of our Innovation, Entrepreneurship, Strategy and International Business (IESIB) Discipline.
You will share your passion for high quality research, learning and teaching and industry engagement to contribute to the School’s culture of professional excellence and commitment to UN SDG goals. You will have a strong track record of high quality curriculum design and delivery including learning and teaching across multiple platforms. With experience of collegial leadership in the academic community, you will work with colleagues in the EISIB Discipline, mentoring junior academics and collaborating with senior colleagues to enhance the School’s national and international profile.
You will bring to the role
- A strong track record of scholarly leadership including working in research teams and as chief/co-investigator in applications for competitive research grants and/or fellowships.
- Passion for high quality and innovative teaching for undergraduate, honours and postgraduate students across a range of modes and levels.
- Experience in the design and delivery of high quality learning and teaching, including successful HDR supervision/completions.
- Active industry impact and engagement.
- Impactful leadership in academic service, including leading dedicated strategic projects, mentoring junior colleagues and performance management.
- Demonstrated high level communication and interpersonal skills.
- Established international networks with a track record of cross-institutional collaboration
- A doctoral qualification in a relevant discipline.
- Demonstrated achievement in the discipline/field in research, learning and teaching and engagement
- A strong track record of achievement in and commitment to excellence in delivering high quality learning experiences across multiple modes and platforms.
- A strong track record of high quality research outputs consistent with an international reputation in the field.
- A significant record of obtaining research income, including nationally competitive research grants and/or fellowships
- Impactful academic leadership experience in the discipline/profession and in community engagement.
- Significant experience and record of supervising HDR students.
- Demonstrated high level communication and interpersonal skills to enable a collegial working culture.
- Strong skills in intercultural awareness and experience of working with culturally diverse colleagues, students and industry partners.
- Demonstrated commitment to applying relevant and applicable policies, procedures and legislation in the day-to-day performance of the functions of the position.
- Prior to appointment, the recommended applicant/s will need to have a current criminal record check in accordance with the University's National Police Certificate Assessment Procedures.
