The Role
The School of Business and Law is seeking to appoint a highly capable, impact-oriented academic at the Associate Professor level. The person will be required to lead curriculum development and research in the broad area of work and careers. Demonstrated research expertise in one or more of the following areas is desirable:

  • Career development learning, 
  • Employability,
  • Professional identity,
  • Gender and careers.

The role will sit within the Management Discipline, and teach across several of undergraduate and postgraduate programs, including the Bachelor of Commerce and the Master of Human Resource Management. The successful applicant for the role will be required to support and mentor early and mid-career academics.

Key Selection Criteria
The successful applicant will have:

  • A doctoral qualification in an appropriate discipline (essential),
  • National research standing in the broad area of work and careers,
  • Experience mentoring early and mid-career academics to advance positive career outcomes,
  • Ability to supervise PhD students in the area of work, careers and/or human resource management,
  • Experience in leading impact-oriented projects with industry partners,
  • Ability to lead cutting-edge curriculum design,
  • Strong interpersonal communication and presentation skills.

Benefits and Remuneration
This full-time, ongoing position attracts a salary of $160,672 - $176,649 (Level D) per annum plus 17% University superannuation contribution.
