The Role

The School of Business and Law’s mission is to ‘develop industry-ready graduates through high quality teaching and learning experiences, and engaged, applied research.’ Within the School, the Business Services discipline cluster is seeking to appoint a teaching and research focused Associate Professor in Innovation and Marketing. The successful applicant/s will be expected to design and develop high-quality modern and diverse marketing, entrepreneurship and innovation units that will ensure our students are challenged and graduate industry ready. The Associate Professor will be expected to contribute to curriculum design and teaching across contemporary issues in marketing such as data analytics, digital marketing, innovative product development, social entrepreneurship and sustainability.    

Applicants must have a PhD in Marketing/entrepreneurship/innovation and be teaching and research active with a demonstrable track record of research publications in top-tier journals (ABDC A/A*). Candidates will also need to demonstrate their ability to strive for excellence, with their established and continually growing reputation in the field as well as their innovative and inspiring scholarship approach. The successful applicants will have a flexible attitude and the ability to adapt to any circumstance, by consulting and liaising confidently with senior-level stakeholders. With an ability to champion high level applied research across key strategic partnerships in the entrepreneurship, innovation and marketing disciplines. Demonstrable experience in engaging with external bodies and members of the wider ecosystem, both nationally and internationally, ensuring compliance with numerous frameworks and policies is highly desirable.

Benefits and Remuneration

This full-time, ongoing position attracts a salary of $154,492– $169,855 (ALEVD) plus 17% University superannuation contribution. 

Visa sponsorship and/or a relocation package may be negotiated for suitably qualified international and interstate candidates.
