  • Base Salary from $174,618 + 17% superannuation

 

About the opportunity

 

The Sydney Pharmacy School is recognised as one of the leading centres for pharmacy research and education in the world. Our team of researchers lead key internationally competitive research from medication management to co-design, as well as from patient to policy across a range of therapeutic areas.  

 

We are seeking an Associate Professor in Clinical Pharmacy to join the School in a continuing capacity. This position will allow you to contribute to fostering a culture of excellence through your own expertise and through guiding academic staff and students towards success.

 

Your key responsibilities will be to:

 

  • make original and innovative contributions to the advancement of research and education within the discipline which are recognised as outstanding, nationally or internationally

  • maintain quality, standards and excellence in all education and research activities and outputs

  • mentor and provide opportunities for other researchers to develop skills and engage in translational research

  • coordinate and develop curricula and programs within the School/Faculty (eg. coordination of a large award program or a number of smaller award programs) which enhance the University’s standing as a national leader in education

  • make an outstanding contribution to governance and collegial life within the University

  • maintain an understanding of the University’s strategic agenda and actively contributes to furthering that agenda.  

About you

  • experience in people leadership within the higher education sector, including demonstrated success in supervising and/or mentoring others towards success

  • national or international reputation in clinical pharmacy research, with a supporting research profile including competitive research grants, publications and evidence of recognition within the broader research community

  • sustained record of excellence in pharmacy teaching and learning design and practice, as evidenced through successful student outcomes, demonstrated impact on student learning, recognition through awards/prizes and innovation

  • wide network of established relationships with key academic, industry and professional institutions, partners and stakeholders that can be leveraged to enhance the standing of the discipline, School/ Faculty and University.

Please note: Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. For a continuing position, you must be an Australian or New Zealand citizen or an Australian Permanent Resident.

Australian Temporary Residents currently employed at the University of Sydney may be considered for a fixed term contract for the length of their visa, depending on the requirements of the hiring area and the position.
