THE ROLE

As an hourly rate Lecturer your main responsibility will be to teach subjects relating to tourism and hospitality management. You will teach on undergraduate and, potentially, Masters programs. You will actively promote the program by establishing and maintaining memberships, linking and partnering with academic, industry and professional communities.  

OUR REQUIREMENTS

  • Available to start June 2024 (Semester 2) based in SGS

  • Master Degree (for Associate Lecturer) or Ph.D. (for Lecturer level) hourly rate positions - Tourism and Hospitality Management discipline or equivalent relevant qualification

  • Proven teaching experience in the area of food and beverage management - broadly defined, including restaurant management, food production management, beverage management, food safety, and restaurant related technology and systems – is desirable.

  • Industry or professional experience.  

  • Excellent team player

  • Culturally agile.

  • Broad and in-depth knowledge of the disciplines mentioned above, specifically in the area of Food and Beverage Management and Hospitality discipline

 

SALARY SCALE

The hourly rate you receive is based on an “actual working hour”.

For every hour of teaching, you will be paid for two hours.  The two hours related to 1-hour teaching and 1 hour of lesson preparation, marking, and administration.
