The School of Access Education is seeking a dedicated Associate Lecturer to support the delivery of preparatory units within the STEPS course and be part of a team of advisers who provide academic literacy skills support to undergraduate and post-graduate students in both one-on-one and workshop situations.

 

The school has a strong commitment to social justice and the provision of opportunities that foster greater social inclusion in Higher Education. The school provides various pathway courses for prospective students to access award courses and provides academic learning support services to VET, undergraduate and postgraduate coursework students seeking assistance. Through these services, the School of Access Education inspires students to ‘take the next step’ at whatever stage of their learning journey that may be.

Position Requirements

 

  • Relevant undergraduate qualification.
  • Relevant experience teaching and/or working within the relevant field.
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Teaching qualification or willingness to undertake a Graduate Certificate in Tertiary Education.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver quality innovative courses and units using a range of learning and teaching styles including flexible learning and multi-campus delivery methods.  
  • You will be expected to hold vaccinations in relation to the COVID-19 immunisation should your CQUniversity role require you to attend any setting / venue / event where there is a specific entry requirement for you hold these vaccinations, as per relevant State Government directives.
