About the team 

UWA's Strategy, Planning and Performance team leads and coordinates strategic, operational and academic planning across the University by providing a range of information, support and advice, including the provision of business intelligence; monitoring and assessing the institution’s performance; and coordinating the planning process. The Strategy, Planning and Performance team also has primary responsibility for the development and implementation of key performance indicators and the development and maintenance of University policy.

About the opportunity 

Reporting to the Director of Strategy, Planning and Performance and leading a team of ten, you will work closely with the Director to monitor and review the University’s strategic direction and lead its annual planning process. You will also have responsibility for the coordination, monitoring and evaluation of key performance indicators linked to institutional level reporting and performance outcomes. You will ensure that identified key performance indicators are appropriately defined, have targets set, are appropriately cascaded and accurately reported. You will also oversee the development and maintenance of the University’s policy library and the provision of expert support and advice in the drafting, review and approval of University policy, procedure and guidelines. 

About you 

To be considered for this opportunity, you will have a relevant tertiary qualification (or demonstrated equivalent competency) and extensive relevant strategic and business planning experience in developing strategic initiatives with a proven ability to lead and manage teams in a collegial fashion. You will also have the ability to manage large and complex projects and experience in successfully managing an efficient business intelligence function.
