About the Role 
The Associate Director, International Admissions will oversee the onshore international admissions functions at the University. 

The Associate Director plays a key role in reviewing and implementing the University's Genuine Student Requirements, focusing on maintaining contemporary and secure admissions settings by collaborating with various stakeholders and overseeing international admissions teams. The Associate Director ensures that Swinburne University's international admissions processes are efficient and conducive to admitting students who are well-suited for success at the institution. 

This position requires a comprehensive understanding of international admissions practices and a commitment to upholding the University's standards while managing the evolving landscape of international student recruitment and admissions.

About You  
To be successful in this role, you will require the following attributes:

•    Lead a team of international admissions professionals, and ensure the effective management of the team, as well as projects and resourcing requirements within the team, and will meet the University’s needs according to the five-year strategic plan and annual mission and budget.
•    Establish and maintain a profile within the University as the international student admissions expert and represent the University at appropriate external forums and meetings.
•    Lead change through influence, focusing team efforts on delivering business value and enhancing the customer experience.
•    Build capability and manage talent within the team to support growth and succession planning through the University’s activities and frameworks including performance and development, culture, and engagement.
•    Regularly communicate strategy, objectives, and role expectations to individuals to promote accountability and ownership, and to support and manage performance
•    Lead the direction of the business unit by leading the planning and development of admissions workload, priorities, resourcing, and processes.
•    Lead a team of international admissions professionals, and ensure the effective management of the team, as well as projects and resourcing requirements within the team.

Qualifications
•    Postgraduate qualifications or progress towards postgraduate qualifications and extensive relevant experience; or extensive experience and management expertise; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training
•    Proven strategic, analytical, and conceptual skills with the ability to structure and convert strategies into compelling and achievable work programs.
