Facilities Management at UniSQ is responsible for the management of University space and the design and construction of physical infrastructure. We are currently seeking a design and construction focused project management professional who will lead a team responsible for shaping UniSQ’s physical space and project delivery, whilst enjoying the opportunity to apply their extensive project and program management experience to deliver transformative outcomes.

Together with your relevant qualification and extensive experience in a construction related discipline, key to your success in this critical leadership position will include your:

  • Ability to work within the executive team to deliver an annual capital plan and longer-term outcomes from the University’s Master Plan.
  • Proven experience in managing end-to-end design and complex construction project delivery from initial conceptualisation through to completion.
  • Ability to champion space planning, management and optimisation strategies that are aligned with the University’s strategic and operational goals.  
  • Proven ability to lead a diverse team across several campuses to achieve organisational objectives related to space and capital projects.
  • Outstanding communication skills and stakeholder management experience as well as experience in effectively negotiating matters relating to contract disputes with both consultants and contractors.

The Associate Director (Capital Projects and Space) will be based at our Toowoomba or Ipswich campus, with regular travel to other campuses and UniSQ facilities.

Salary: Total remuneration range $156,435 to $173,403 pa (includes salary range of $132,180 to $146,517 pa, employer super contributions of 17% and annual leave loading)
