The Ballarat Tech School (BTS) is a key State Government initiative in establishing Victoria as the Education State, where all Victorians can access high-quality education and training, regardless of their background, circumstances or postcode and will focus on preparing students for a changing world, strengthening employability skills and linking the focus of secondary education to growing industries within the region.

About the role

Lead the ongoing operation, development and delivery of innovative STEM education programs at Ballarat Tech School. We are seeking an agile, forward-thinking professional with strong stakeholder relationship skills to lead BTS into the future.

In addition to leading a team of leading STEM educators, you will also establish a comprehensive set of policies and operating protocols to ensure a child safe environment and form strategic relationships, alliances and partnerships with a variety of stakeholders.

About you

To be considered for this position, you will have demonstrated knowledge of current STEM education, including a strong ability to plan, establish, organise, coordinate and monitor educational programs and learning environments.

You will possess stakeholder enagement and relationship building skills, ideally within the Department of Education and Training and have demonstrated knowledge and experience managing student discipline and welfare matters.

You must also hold:

  • a Victorian Institute of Teaching registration (VIT) (preferred) or a valid Working With Children Check (WWCC); and
  • a degree or equivelant qualification in a relevant field with educational managment experience.
