The Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering is seeking a highly motivated Assistant Lecturer to join their team to support the teaching effort within the Faculty.
The Faculty of Engineering aspires to transform society for the better, both through training the next generation of forward-thinking brilliant engineers, and through transformational research that meets the needs and challenges of the world. The Department offers the undergraduate degrees of Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) in the streams of Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering and Automation Engineering, with a large proportion of students studying for double degrees in conjunction with other faculties.
Monash University is one of only three Universities in Australia to be ranked at ERA 5 (outstanding) in the discipline of Aerospace Engineering in the 2018 Excellence in Research Australia report.
A Level A academic is expected to make contributions to the teaching effort of the University, particularly at undergraduate and graduate diploma level in the Mechatronics/Robotics specialisation and to carry out activities to develop her/his scholarly, research and/or professional expertise relevant to the profession or discipline.
The applicant should have:
- Doctorate in relevant discipline, proficient in statistical analysis and manuscript preparation
- Strong interpersonal skills, teamwork, positive attitude
- Teaching experience, ability to motivate, and to develop materials
