  • Operationalise newly deployed AV systems within university-wide teaching and collaboration spaces, and undertake a range of activities to assist in the design of new AV solutions at the University of Sydney
  • Base Salary $91,644 + 17% superannuation

About the opportunity

The Assistant AV Analyst is responsible for providing support to deliver audio visual project outcomes as well as providing general administrative and technical support to the ICT Client Design and Standards Operational, and Projects Teams. The Client Design and Standards Teams are responsible for the creation of AV standards, system design, and project style delivery of Audio-Visual presentation and collaboration solutions that inspire and support excellence in research and education across the University’s campuses.

Using your demonstrated technical working experience and understanding of AV solutions, your key responsibilities will be to:

  • provide general support through the delivery and commissioning stages of your team’s projects
  • undertake quality assurance, and operationalisation tasks to transition projects outputs to BAU
  • assist in the day-to-day operational activities of projects, including testing, research and development for standards, auditing, and documentation.
  • participate in the delivery of AV related training to end-users and other ICT Teams as required
  • support the research and development objectives of the Client Design and Standards Teams with regards to ICT and University projects
  • participate in supporting regular Quality Assurance and Maintenance activities including audits of existing and newly identified spaces (across multiple University sites and campuses), systems and technologies as defined by the ICT Design & Standards teams
  • assist with the response and coordination of calls, enquiries and work assignments related to support escalations from the AV Support team and Helpdesk, and escalations between the AV support team and the Client Design and Standards Team

About you

  • demonstrated experience with assisting AV system implementations or large-scale project environments working as a service technician or installer
  • demonstrated understanding and practical experience of University student/ learning processes and new developments in teaching practice
  • experience with the operationalisation of AV implementations, specifically in the areas of testing/UAT and quality assurance
  • demonstrated understanding of AV systems, and AV project delivery, and an understanding of systems development and project delivery lifecycle
  • proven ability to document and deliver user training to end users and support staff
  • understanding of the University environment and the Tertiary Education sector.
