Offer Description
  • Part-time (0.3FTE), 3-year fixed term position for Assistant Associate Dean, Pharmacy with underlying continuing position at Level D or E
  • Play a pivotal role in providing senior leadership for the Discipline's academic and research performance, strategy, and growth
  • Report directly to the Associate Dean - Applied Health, Professor Barbora de Courten and based largely at Bundoora campus
  • Remuneration for Academic Level D ($151,156 - $166,525) or Academic Level E ($194,709)

About the Role

You will responsible for:

  • Playing a pivotal role in the School's leadership team, leading and managing staff within the Discipline and working collaboratively with the Associate Dean to enable the future School and the STEM College
  • Providing academic and strategic leadership and fostering a culture of progression to enable delivery on the School research, learning and teaching strategies
  • Delivering, in collaboration with other discipline members, best of class student experience by embracing interactive, digitally enabled student-centred learning experiences and identifying and implementing innovative learning & teaching initiatives
  • Leading, influencing and acting as a mentor in developing strategy and managing change

You will have:

  • Academic leadership and management skills with demonstrated ability to lead teams to deliver on strategic objectives.
  • Established research record in a relevant discipline, with the demonstrated capacity to lead and promote excellent research in the incumbent's field.
  • Demonstrated record of innovative teaching in a discipline relevant to the School underpinned by a deep understanding of contemporary Learning and Teaching theory.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of relevant industry and training priorities.

Qualifications

Mandatory:

  • Tertiary qualifications, including PhD, in a relevant discipline with knowledge and achievements that meet RMIT's Associate Professorial or Professorial criteria and extensive relevant experience
  • Current registration with Ahpra as a pharmacist

Note: Appointment to this position requires a valid Working with Children check and passing a National Police Check.
