About the position

Reporting to the Senior Management Accountant - Research. The role will need to perform tasks include the co ordination and production of timely and accurate financial, taxation and management transaction, analysis and reporting, budgeting, general ledger account reconciliations; and core Finance system maintenance and integrity.

Skills and Experience

To be considered for this position, you will have;

  • A Degree with subsequent relevant experience to consolidate the theories and principles learned, or extensive experience, leading to either the development of specialist expertise or to the development of broad knowledge, in technical or administrative fields, or an equivalent alternate combination of relevant knowledge, training and/or experience.
  • Demonstrated depth or breadth of expertise developed through extensive relevant experience and application.
  • Demonstrated ability to gain a conceptual understanding of relevant policies, procedures or systems and interpretation in the application of policy and/or precedent.
  • Ability to innovate and take responsibility for outcomes.
  • Demonstrated ability to set priorities and monitor workflows within own area of responsibility.
  • Demonstrated experience (minimum 2 years) working in an accounting position that required the development of forecasts, budgets and financial plans within a complex environment
  • Proven written communication skills that enable clear and articulated presentation of information in a meaningful and useable form
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills and demonstrated experience to work in a flexible and collaborative manner
  • Demonstrated capability to work independently on projects of a diverse nature, whileexercising initiative to complete competing work tasks within tight timeframes
  • Proven analytical and problem solving skills.
