  • Full-time, continuing contract based in Information Strategy and Technology Services at the Mawson Lakes campus
  • Salary range: $80,477 - $88,634 per annum (plus up to 17% superannuation)


About the Role

The position will focus on improving the performance of the IT function by contributing to the design, implementation and support of IT systems, applications and services.

The successful candidate will be involved in project planning, feasibility studies, systems analysis, requirements definition, systems design and technical implementation, integration and testing, acceptance, administration and maintenance.

Core Responsibilities


• Work with key stakeholders to gather and define user requirements, prototyping solutions, formulate designs and create user acceptance plans

• Perform complex system maintenance

• Design, develop and support integration functions between existing systems

• Provide specialist advice to business users

• Liaise with vendors regarding the purchase and maintenance of third party software

Essential Skills and Experience

• Relevant tertiary qualification (normally a degree) or equivalent demonstrated knowledge, skills and experience

• Relevant professional information technology experience in a large organisation comparable with the University

• Experience supporting, maintaining and upgrading third party software

• Experience of security issues at applications, database, networking and operating system levels

• Experience in the implementation of system development methodologies, standards, documentation and quality procedures
