  • Level 7, part-time (0.5 FTE) appointment on a fixed term basis for 16 months
  • Base salary range: $92,679.00 – $102,830.00 p.a. (pro rata) plus 17% superannuation

About the Team

Development and Alumni Relations [DAR] oversees the University’s alumni, philanthropic and community strategies. The function works collaboratively across the University to embed philanthropic and engagement activity into the University’s operations. The core responsibilities of the team are to lead and build on the University’s alumni, donor and community relations to advance the University goals.

About the opportunity

The Alumni Relations Officer supports UWA’s alumni engagement goals, helping to ensure enduring positive relationships with the University, specifically through school, student connections and global alumni ambassador connections.

Under direction from the Alumni & Community Giving Manager, the Alumni Relations Officer will be primarily responsible for the delivery of key high profile strategic alumni and donor events. This will include:

  • Development and execution of engagement activations for key alumni audiences, providing strategic advice on collaborative event activations across DAR.
  • Collaborating with key campus stakeholders to support the delivery of their initiatives.
  • Reporting on the success of these events and initiatives and making recommendations for future activities.

About you 

You will be an experienced events professional, able to work efficiently and be comfortable working with all levels of stakeholders.

To be considered for this role, you will demonstrate :

  • Relevant tertiary qualification or demonstrated equivalent experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and high-level consultation, collaboration and problem-solving skills and the ability to provide advice and support senior staff and members of the Executive
  • Proven ability to build lasting business relationships, provide excellent client service and work effectively with people, including key contacts and volunteers
  • Excellent research, analysis, communication and presentation skills, both oral and written, including experience preparing and presenting proposals and reports
  • Experience of working in a customer orientated CRM database highly desired

Note: This role will require some after-hours and weekend work
