Deakin’s Recycling and Clean Energy Commercialisation Hub (REACH) is part of Australia’s Trailblazer Universities Program. The REACH Program operates under the oversight of the independent REACH Governing Board and the University Council. REACH will build the single largest clean energy ecosystem in Australia, placing Australia at the forefront of critical new technologies, products, and industries. It will have a significant impact on Australia’s National Manufacturing Priorities, and support growth and jobs in manufacturing with significant economic and social impact.

The Adviser, Contracts, REACH reports to the Senior Manager, Research Contracts to manage the administration of contracts across the REACH Program. The Adviser, Contracts, REACH will work closely with the REACH Program team to support their contract administration requirements.

As an Adviser, you will:

  • Support the REACH Program team members to ensure the contractual administration requirements of respective partnerships are met, data collection and reporting of these activities is accurate and the university's reputation with external funders and partners is protected and enhanced.
  • Maintain accurate records of contracts, variations, documents, and related correspondence and processes to enable the effective functioning of the Contracts team.
  • In collaboration with stakeholders, monitor, review, and recommend changes to processes and workflows to enhance the service offering of the Contracts team toward best practice.
  • Build new and productive relationships with a diverse range of researchers, funding bodies and other internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide guidance and support to researchers, faculty and institute staff on contract administration processes, compliance requirements and best practices.

To be successful, you’ll have:

  • A Degree with subsequent relevant experience; or
  • Extensive experience and specialist knowledge or broad knowledge in technical or administrative fields
  • A Degree with at least 4 years subsequent relevant experience; or
  • Extensive experience and management expertise in technical or administrative fields; or
  • An equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
  • Experience in administration and related activities in a large organisation with complex administrative structures, policies and procedures.
  • Experience providing services and support in a large organisation
