  • Commencement Salary: $76,304 per annum (plus 17% superannuation)

About the Role 

Reporting to the Manager: Advancement Operations and Alumni Relations, you will provide support to Advancement Operations by proficiently developing reports, core data functions and maintaining records of alumni, prospects, and donors using the Customer Relations Management (CRM) database system. You will provide data related services, technical support, and training to staff across the University and ensure the accuracy and integrity of the database. You will analyse data for a number of data sources with the objective of using this information to make recommendations and inform decisions that will support the achievement of the University’s alumni and philanthropic goals.

About Advancement Services 

Advancement’s function is the strategic management of relationships to increase understanding and support among key University constituents. This includes the more than 240,000 alumni and friends of the University, members of the community and philanthropic organisations of all types in Australia and internationally. The Unit aims to secure financial support from donors who wish to contribute to the achievement of the University of South Australia’s vision and values; engage alumni in the life of the University as volunteers, advocates, supporters and donors; and manage relationships with current and potential supporters of the University.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Post-secondary qualifications or greater in data analytics/ business analytics (or similar) and demonstrated equivalent experience, knowledge and skills in data analytics
  • Demonstrated experience in applying analytical techniques to interpret complex data in clear and concise language and add value to business data to meet business needs
  • Demonstrated experience of working with data bases with confidential data, and high level data entry skills with attention to detail and accuracy and the ability to prepare data for a range of activities and reporting requirements
  • Excellent organisation skills with the ability to prioritise, work to tight deadlines and anticipate future data requirements. High degree of initiative and resourcefulness, with the ability to investigate and undertake tasks with minimal supervision or direction including acting as a team-player
  • Superior interpersonal skills and an ability to successfully communicate with a diverse range of people including people from a range of cultural backgrounds and experience working with people at a variety of levels within an organisation
  • High level written and verbal communication skills, ensuring a high level of accuracy and experience is writing reports for internal audiences
