The University of Adelaide Enterprise Agreement 2017-2021 will apply to a successful candidate’s employment at the University.  The University recently temporarily varied its Enterprise Agreement.  Please be advised that the salary range, along with other conditions associated with this position, may change in accordance with the variation to the Enterprise Agreement.

Fixed-term position (maternity leave cover) available from January to November 2021

The Administrative Support Officer coordinates the provision of a range of effective and professional administrative support, services and advice. This includes undertaking the effective administration of a range of day to day office equipment, supply and facility maintenance, for delivering a professional front of house interface for the School, for the provision of data management, advisory, financial and event management functions, and for liaising with Academic and Professional staff to enable the achievement of School and Faculty business and academic goals.

To be successful you will need:

  • Demonstrated experience in coordinating the provision of efficient administration services and support, preferably in a higher education environment, including providing information, advice and reports.
  • Demonstrated experience communicating, both verbally and in writing, in a succinct, professional and responsive manner to deliver client centric results. 
  • Demonstrated experience in working with a high level of flexibility and adaptability in order to undertake or deliver a range of functions, as directed, to meet the business needs of an organisation.
  • Experience in organising and undertaking multiple tasks with competing deadlines and in applying effective problems solving skills to a range of issues. 
  • Experience in the utilisation of a range of PC based hardware and software applications, including competency across the full Microsoft office suite of programs.
