- Part-time (0.6 FTE), continuing position based in Academic Services at the UniSA Whyalla Regional campus
- Salary: $59,338 - $69,137 (pro rata at 0.6 FTE) per annum (plus 17% superannuation)
About the Role
We are seeking an Administrative Officer to join the UniSA Whyalla Regional campus, to provide first point of contact customer service to all staff, students visitors and external stakeholders making use of campus facilities.

The University of South Australia has a long-standing commitment to delivering high quality programs in regional South Australia, through its Whyalla and Mount Gambier Campuses. A suite of undergraduate degrees in areas including Nursing, Social Work, Engineering, Education, and Foundation Studies are offered to meet the needs of local rural and regional communities.
The University also partners with industry and the community to undertake research that is linked to regional priorities. In conjunction with the Department of Rural Health project, the University also hosts research initiatives surrounding rural health, resource management and Indigenous issues.
Core Responsibilities
- Respond to all face-to-face, telephone and email enquiries with accurate and timely advice
- Organise the day-to-day running of the reception area, including the development and implementation of systems
- Liaise with local staff and staff of other areas of the University to build, maintain and enhance effective working relationships
- Undertake finance administration and ensure compliance with the University’s Finance policy framework
- Support campus functions/event including event set up and pack up, managing catering requirements, liaising with event organisers, organising signage, and general event support
- Coordinate internal and external exam requirements for Whyalla campus in line with University policy and procedures
Essential Skills and Experience
- Experience in a reception or administration role involving high-quality customer service
- High-level written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated organisational and time management skills to effectively manage competing priorities and deadlines
- Well-developed ability to work in teams and experience liaising with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
- Knowledge in using information systems and the Microsoft Office suite of programs including SharePoint
