  • HEO 5, Base Salary $78,077 - $87,420 p.a. + 17% superannuation 

About the opportunity

The Administrative Officer works under general supervision from the Discipline Executive Officer (DEO) and provides a wide range of administrative and operational support to the Discipline of Finance. The Administrative Officer will assist with HR processes, Concur and UniBuy transactions, meeting and event management, room bookings as well as providing educational support with timetabling, appeals, exams, teaching materials and student enquiries. As the first point of contact for all staff and students, this role requires strong communication, administrative and organisational skills in order to coordinate and undertake a range of operational activities.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • provide Discipline specific administration services and operational support
  • provide general day-to-day administration support to the Discipline and ensure continuous improvement of administrative processes
  • manage Discipline resources and building access
  • maintain Discipline website, social media and noticeboards.

About you

We are looking for an Administrative Officer who possesses:

  • advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications, Timetabling system, Sydney Student and Concur
  • demonstrated ability to exercise initiative and sound judgement to solve problems and continuously assess and make suggestions for improved administrative practices and service
  • demonstrated ability to work well as part of a team as well as independently and develop productive relationships with senior academic and professional staff across the Business School and the wider University
  • excellent time and workload management skills with the ability to manage interruptions and changes to work priorities to achieve deadlines and required outcomes
  • excellent verbal and written communication skills, with experience in handling a wide range of enquiries and providing excellent customer service
  • strong problem-solving skills and the ability to use initiative and exercise sound judgement and ability to prioritise workload during busy periods.
