The School of Biomedical Sciences and Pharmacy is committed to excellence in teaching and research, fostering innovative approaches to education and providing support to staff and students. We are seeking a dedicated Administrative Officer to join our team and provide essential administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of teaching activities within the school. In this role you will:

  • Provide high-level teaching administrative support to staff, students, and external stakeholders.
  • Generate course outlines and manage course management system updates.
  • Manage timetables and class allocations.
  • Generate sessional teaching contracts and review timesheets.
  • Assist with assessment and exam formatting, processing, and invigilating.
  • Provide learning management system support to academics.
  • Generate teaching service agreements, career-ready placement documentation, and accreditation documentation.
  • Provide general office support including stationary ordering, printing, mail distribution, and visitor parking.
  • Manage phone calls and emails regarding timetables, enrolment, and general school inquiries.
  • Build and maintain collaborative relationships with staff in Colleges and Divisions.
  • Engage with sessional staff members to ensure timely submission and approval of timesheets.
  • Assist in the organization of school events such as staff retreats, student prize ceremonies, and student recruitment events.
  • Assist in planning, monitoring, and tracking casual teaching salary expenditure within the School 

This continuing position is full time at a HEW 5 Higher Education Level and will be based at Callaghan Campus (Awabakal and Worimi land)

About the Unit

The School of Biomedical Sciences & Pharmacy is part of the College of Health, Medicine & Wellbeing. The School has primary responsibility for the Bachelor of Biomedical Science, Bachelor of Pharmacy (Hons), Bachelor of Exercise and Sport Science and Master of Exercise Physiology degree programs, but also teaches into all other programs offered by the College of Health, Medicine & Wellbeing, including medicine, nursing and allied health.
