  • Part-time (0.4 FTE) appointment on a fixed term basis for 12 months
  • Base salary range: Level 5: $72,531 – $80,391 p.a. / Level 6: $83,005 - $87,723 p.a. plus 17% superannuation

About the team

The School of Population and Global Health at the University of Western Australia is a research-intensive academic organisation giving material expression of the belief that excellence in research underpins excellence in teaching and community partnerships. The School has a reputation for a strong evidence-based approach to research and education that is used for policy and practice development. SPGH aspires to be a school in which staff and students feel valued and supported in their individual and collective efforts to improve community health and wellbeing.

About the opportunity

As the appointee you will, under general direction, provide administrative support to the School’s Cardiovascular Research Group and its work program. You will be responsible for a wide variety of administration duties to support the area and respond to the broad research needs. You will work collaboratively across projects to ensure the provision of high-quality service and efficient operation.

To be considered for this role, you will demonstrate:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification or demonstrated equivalent competency
  • Substantial relevant senior administrative experience at an appropriate level
  • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly developed organisational skills with the demonstrated ability to set priorities and to meet deadlines
  • Ability to work independently, show initiative, problem solve and work productively as part of a team
  • Commitment to providing a high level of quality customer service
