About the role:

As the Administrative Officer (Professional and Community Placement), you will provide timely, effective and efficient administrative support for the purpose of sourcing and allocating appropriate field placements (including school and community experience) for courses delivered by the National School of Education. You will work under the supervision of the Team Leader, Professional Experience and Community Placement (VIC) and coordinate with the Project Officer and academic Project Leads of the Early Childhood Accelerated Project to ensure smooth implementation of placements in the accelerated Bachelor of Early Childhood Education course.

More specifically the role entails:

  • Liaise with a range of stakeholders including students and staff from early childhood centres and agencies in relation to the allocation of placements
  • Assist in organising tertiary supervision arrangements
  • Utilising InPlace, the university placement software, to maintain and monitor required placement documentation and information
  • Collaborating with the Project Officer and academic Project Leads to deliver project outcomes and requirements as per prescribed timelines
