  • Level 5, 0.5 FTE part-time appointment on a 2-year fixed term basis.
  • Base salary range: $76,422 – $84,705 p.a. (pro-rata) plus 17% superannuation.

About the team
The Raine Study cohort stands as one of the world's largest and most successful prospective endeavours spanning pregnancy through adulthood. Comprising approximately 2000 dedicated participants, now at an average age of 33, our cohort remains deeply committed to contributing to the ongoing exploration of health across generations. Through rigorous follow-up assessments of our participants, their parents (averaging around 63 years old), and their children (ranging from infancy to 18 years old), we continuously gather longitudinal data from pregnancy through young adulthood.

Within the vibrant and collaborative environment of the Raine Study, our mission is clear: to improve lifelong health and quality of life through ground-breaking, impactful research that examines the influences, pathways, and outcomes from before birth and throughout life’s course. Our efforts contribute significantly to advance scientific understanding of child, adolescent, and adult health, with leading research initiatives, engaging over 150 researchers across 15 diverse fields. Together, we leverage the wealth of data provided by the Raine Study to propel our collective understanding forward.

The support provided by the Administrative Officer (Finance) will be pivotal in sustaining operational activities. Their expertise will empower the Operations Manager to allocate resources efficiently, ensuring smooth and effective functioning across the board.

About the opportunity
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Administrative Officer (Finance), under general direction, is responsible for undertaking various accounting and operational tasks to ensure the smooth and efficient functioning of the Raine Study.

About you
To be considered for this opportunity, you will demonstrate:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification or demonstrated equivalent competency.
  • Substantial relevant financial administration experience working in a university or other complex and diverse organisation.
  • Demonstrated financial management knowledge and skills.
  • Proficiency in a range of computer skills including word-processing, database and spreadsheets, email, and electronic calendar, and the ability to display documentation in a professional manner.
  • Demonstrated highly developed office management, organisational skills, including knowledge of administrative procedures and record keeping, including the demonstrated ability to set priorities and to meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated well developed written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, show initiative, work as part of a team, with strong people skills and the ability to work with a wide variety of stakeholders.
