Curtin Institute for Energy Transition (CIET)

This position provides executive assistance to support the Director of the Curtin University Institute for Energy. Launched in August, 2022 the CIET connects research across all Faculties of the university.

Your new role

Are you a highly organised and detail-oriented professional with a track record for providing top-tier administrative support to senior executives? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our collaborative team as an Administrative Officer. 

The successful candidate will provide comprehensive administrative and personal assistance, encompassing a diverse range of tasks.

Previous experience within the educational sector is highly desired.

As the Administrative Officer, you will be responsible for:

  • Establish and maintain efficient administrative processes and practices within the area.
  • Coordinate meetings, events, and manage the Director of CIET’s diary, including travel arrangements where required.
  • Manage content creation, publication, and distribution of reports and documents as required to support other researchers in the CIET.
  • Conduct initial research and gather data to support area activities.
  • Provide administrative and logistical support for projects and area activities.
  • Administer internal and external communications and distribute information.
  • Maintain shared repositories of information and coordinate event logistics.
  • Monitor critical information and developments for the Director’s attention.
  • Respond to ad hoc requests as required.
We are looking for someone with:
  • Completion of a diploma qualification with relevant work experience; or equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
  • Experience in coordinating administrative requirements.
  • Strong organisational skills, with attentional to detail with deadlines.
  • Effective oral and written communication with cross-cultural sensitivity.
  • Problem-solving ability with discretion and knowledge.

This position is

based at our Bentley campus

, candidates are expected to either be currently located in Perth, WA, or express a willingness to relocate. Please note: Relocation and sponsorship support will not be provided for this position.
