About the International Centre for Point-of-Care Testing

The International Centre for Point-of-Care Testing (ICPOCT) work collaboratively with national and international partners to improve health care, access to pathology testing, and improve health outcomes.

The Centre works to translate the national research and teaching expertise in the field of community based POCT to other national and international audiences, and as a result, build the capacity of rural and remote communities globally (particularly Indigenous communities) to develop solutions to improve both health service delivery and patient outcomes in their communities.


 

About the Role

The International Centre for Point-of-Care Testing at Flinders University is seeking a strong Administrative Assistant to provide high-quality support under general direction to the staff of ICPOCT. As the Administrative Assistant, you will have responsibility for managing incoming and outgoing communications for the ICPOCT, including responding to inquiries and arranging meetings as required.  You will assist in the organisation of travel arrangements for Centre staff and Indigenous leaders as well as events and workshops. Additional responsibilities include preparation of key documents for ICPOCT, maintaining Research Now profiles and management of purchasing and accounts payable.

About You

To be a successful Administrative Assistant at ICPOCT, you will have excellent organisational and interpersonal skills including the ability to work to deadlines, prioritise your workload, liaise with a wide range of stakeholders and solve problems effectively using judgment. You can demonstrate your strong written communication skills from experience in presenting quality documents including presentations, minutes, and reports. You understand the importance of confidentiality, whilst using initiative to collate and distil information from a range of sources.

Additionally, you will have completed a diploma level qualification or Certificate IV with relevant work experience or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and /or education/training, and you are proficient using information technology systems (particularly Microsoft Office products). Experience using FLO, Basware and Technology One software systems is desirable.
