About the team
The ACG is a multi-disciplinary joint venture and UWA Research Centre which provides professional education training and research services to the mining sector, in the disciplines of underground, open pit and environmental mining geomechanics. The overall aim of the Centre is to improve mine safety and productivity.

ACG’s main activities are applied mining industry research, and the facilitation of continuing education and training through courses and conferences. Technology transfer from research outcomes through publications, training courses and training materials is an important part of the ACG’s mandate.

About the opportunity
Reporting to the Business Manager you will provide a high level of administrative and finance support for the centre. You will respond to enquiries, process event registrations, monitor the online payment system, liaise with various stakeholders, and prepare income spreadsheets and event budgets. You will also maintain and monitor other financial matters such as detailed accounting and project records and budgets, monitor research consortium and corporate affiliate membership records for quotation and invoicing purposes. In addition, you will support staff with travel arrangements, coordinate all purchasing requirements for the area and maintain and further enhance the client database.

About you
With relevant tertiary qualification in business administration or finance (or equivalent competency), you will demonstrate substantial experience in administrative/finance support roles. You are motivated and will be able to adapt to many different functions and activities. You will have highly developed communication and interpersonal skills, and research capabilities, combined with thoroughness and attention to detail.
