  • Level 5, part-time (0.6FTE) appointment on a fixed term basis for 12 months
  • Base salary range: $73,982 - $81,999 p.a. (pro rata) plus 17% superannuation

About the team

The Centre for Exploration Targeting (CET) is recognised as a global leader in mineral geoscience research and sits in the School of Earth Sciences. It is a unique research centre that seeks to address practical problems in mineral exploration and mining using innovative and integrated research. The Centre is amongst the largest mineral exploration research centres in the world with senior teaching-research and research staff employed through or affiliated with the Centre, Post-doctoral Research Fellows and PhD students working on one or more research themes. The efforts of the CET are underpinned by continued strong support from the international exploration industry and relevant state and commonwealth government agencies.

About the opportunity

In this position, you will provide a wide variety of administrative duties to support the operations of the Centre for Exploration Targeting (CET) including support to the CET Director. You will be welcoming clients at the front office reception being professional, and providing customer services.

About you 

You will be a customer focused professional with administrative experience and enjoys working in a busy environment. You will have excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills with the ability to liaise collaboratively and cooperatively with diverse groups of people.

To be considered for this role, you will demonstrate:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent competency
  • Considerable relevant administrative experience at an appropriate level
  • Knowledge with web design and maintenance
  • Highly developed organisational skills and demonstrated ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
  • Commitment to providing a high level of quality customer service

Note: A current National Police Clearance (NPC) is a requirement of this position.
