  • Base Salary $73,751 - $77,926 + 17% superannuation

About the opportunity

As the Administration Officer - Clinical Trials Contracts, you will contribute to the realisation of the university’s strategic goals relating to clinical trials by providing general administrative support and performing allocated projects linked to the Clinical Trial Contracts team as well multidisciplinary team initiatives within and across university divisions.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • work within a dynamic team, reporting to the Clinical Trials Contracts Manager

  • provide general administrative services and operational support to the work area

  • maintain records and reporting for the work area by coordinating filing, e-filing, and records management in line with University Policy

  • responds to a range of enquiries via telephone, email and in person, from key stakeholders regarding a wide range of the work area’s activities

  • analyse incoming correspondence and work tasks, and independently initiate appropriate action where possible

  • be responsible for post contract execution administration

  • maintain and update website with relevant and up to date content

  • actively contribute to and be part of a fun and supportive team culture.

About you

  • be positive in your approach and display a willingness to learn, adapt to changes and take on a variety of tasks

  • excellent verbal and written communication skills, with experience in handling a wide range of enquiries and providing excellent customer service

  • experience in arranging meetings, preparation of agenda, meeting papers and taking minutes

  • demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office programs such as Excel, Outlook and Teams, as well as Zoom

  • demonstrated ability to work independently under broad direction and to be self-motivated and take initiative with workload and tasks.

  • strong problem-solving skills and the ability to use initiative and exercise sound judgement and ability to prioritise workload during busy periods

  • experience and knowledge of university systems such as ServiceNow, IRMA and Unibuy are desirable.

Australian Temporary Residents currently employed at the University of Sydney may be considered for a fixed term contract for the length of their visa, depending on the requirements of the hiring area and the position.
