About the Student Administration Services

Student Administration Services (SAS) provides support across the student and teaching lifecycles, from enrolments to graduation. Defined by two interconnected levels of service: the College SAS teams and the University-wide SAS teams, work collaboratively to deliver simple, timely, efficient, and innovative student administration services and advice to both students and staff.


About the Role

Flinders University is seeking a vibrant Administration Assistant: Exams, Achievement and Graduations to join the university wide Student Administration Services team in providing administration and student-centred support services across the student lifecycle.

Working alongside a supportive and collaborative team, the Administration Assistant will assist with a range of operational and administrative activities as well as contribute to the running of university examination and graduation events.

As the Administration Assistant: Exams, Achievement and Graduations, you will also be responsible for:

  • Contributing to the administration of an integrated delivery and conduct of high-quality student administration services across the University.

  • Providing consistent and effective customer support and advice to students, University staff and the public regarding student admin related matters.

  • Assisting with the administration of a range of activities related to student services, which may include:

  • Prizes and awards processes

  • Examinations, completion and graduation support (including assisting with planning, set-up and running of University examination and graduation events).

You will be a motivated and vibrant individual with high level communication skills and excellence in service provision, as you demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively with staff and students, ensuring that all enquiries are resolved. Your organisational skills will be the key to your success as you prove that you can balance competing demands and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

The successful Administration Assistant: Exams, Achievement and Graduations, will also demonstrate:

  • Commitment to providing responsive, high-quality service and to contribute towards continuous improvement initiatives to evaluate business systems, processes and procedures and generating solutions.

  • Effective computing skills and experience in the use of a computerised information system for performing tasks requiring a high level of attention to detail, numeracy and accuracy.

  • Completion of a diploma level qualification relevant to administration, and/or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education and training.
