About This Opportunity 

We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Administration and Engagement Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the operationalisation of learning experiences, clinical placements, and assessment activities within the Doctor of Medicine (MD) program. Additionally, they will serve as the primary point of contact for routine inquiries and provide essential administrative support.

This position is located in Royal Brisbane Clinical Unit and reports to the Team Leader, Royal Brisbane Clinical Unit.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Provide comprehensive support for learning activities, placements, assessments, and events.

  • Ensure smooth daily operations by managing administrative tasks efficiently and adhering to financial policies while striving for continuous improvement.

Travel and Out of Hours Work

  • This position may also require some travel; the individual must be willing to undertake air or road travel (as needed) particularly between the Greater Brisbane Clinical School sites and any of the Medical School’s locations.

This is a part-time (80%), continuing position.

At HEW level 4, the full-time equivalent base salary will be in the range $71,640 - $75,957 plus a generous super allowance of up to 17%. The total FTE package will be up to $83,818 - $88,870 annually. As these roles are covered by an Enterprise Agreement, you will also receive regular remuneration increases in line with the Enterprise Agreement.

About You  

Join our team as an Administration Assistant to provide crucial support for the Royal Brisbane Clinical Unit's operations. We're looking for motivated, organised, and reliable individuals to ensure efficiency and effectiveness in our unit.

  • Commitment to and enthusiasm for the provision of excellent client service.

  • Proven ability to interpret and apply a range of policies and procedures.

  • High-level written and verbal communication skills

  • High-level computer skills with experience in Microsoft Excel, SharePoint and web-based educational platforms.

  • Ability to work well both independently and in a team to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and an ability to demonstrate initiative and good judgement.

  • It would be desirable to also have relevant experience in student and/or academic administration in a higher education institution or similar environment will be highly regarded.
