(HEO9) $116,557 to $124,698 per annum plus an employer contribution of 17% will apply.

The University of Adelaide Enterprise Agreement 2017-2021 will apply to a successful candidate’s employment at the University.  The University recently temporarily varied its Enterprise Agreement.  Please be advised that the salary range, along with other conditions associated with this position, may change in accordance with the variation to the Enterprise Agreement

Fixed-term position available from March 2021 until March 2024

The Acoustics and Vibration Engineer will be developing acoustic noise control technologies that will involve designing, installing, testing, and commissioning of equipment. The engineer will analyse test data and make recommendations for improvements. Interstate travel will be required during employment.

To be successful you will need:

  • Must be an Australian Citizen and be eligible for Department of Defence security clearance.
  • Experience with the selection, installation, measurement of acoustic and vibration instrumentation.
  • Experience with signal-processing using Matlab, Simulink, and dSPACE. Experience with the development of ruggedized Electronic Control Units (ECUs) implementing digital signal processing would be highly desirable.
  • Mechanical design experience and use of engineering CAD software.
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve project milestones on-time and within budget.
