Join the Library’s Learning Support team to develop quality learning resources, effectively collaborate with academic teaching staff and actively contribute to library outreach programs.

Working under general direction, the Academic Support Librarian contributes to the teaching, learning and research activities of the University. Working in the Learning Support team, the Academic Support Librarian delivers a range of client facing library services to students, academic and researchers.  Integral to this role is the ability to develop effective learning support materials, including digital learning objects and resources. The Academic Support Librarian provides technical expertise to the development and delivery of library programs supporting information discovery and resource use.  

To be successful you will need: 

  • Well-developed interpersonal communication skills and the ability to engage with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and proactively within own team and with other teams.
  • Ability to work towards continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Relevant experience in an academic or research library including expertise with information discovery and library resource use.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop information literacy online training programmes and support materials using a range of tools and techniques.
